February - March 2024 Update
Past
We started February in Tennessee at our first week-long missions conference. I’ll be completely honest, we were a little nervous about a conference being an entire week long, but it turned out to be amazing! God was so good to us, and we made some amazing new friendships. This one was great too because we were able to connect with one of our past teenagers. We were so proud of her as she now has her own family and is teaching at the Christian school we were at. Her class actually “adopted” us as their missionary and has been praying for us all year.
February and March continued with a nice balance of family time and meetings. We were at some amazing churches, and God has continued to show His kindness to us.
March ended with Easter, and it was nice to have all our boys together to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus.
Present
We are currently at home, and it has been nice to be a “normal” family for a few weeks. Mary Ann has enjoyed spoiling her boys, including me, with home-cooked dinners. Thank you for your prayers for our boys as we have been away. They are doing so well.
We just reached our 90% support level. I never would have guessed that we would have been this far along at this point in this journey.
We are leaving this Saturday for 2 weeks as we have meetings in Montana, Ohio, and Virginia. We are thankful for airplanes!
Future
Andrew graduates from high school this May. We are so proud of him and excited about what God does in his life.
We leave for Portugal on June 4th. We will be there for 6 weeks. This time will be vital to our visa process as we will secure important documents, get a feel for our new life in Portugal, and scout out the neighborhoods that we will want to live in when we move to Portugal permanently in November. Please continue to pray for us during this time as we want God to lead us to the area that He wants us to live in.
