We are at 90%!!!

Feeling blessed and guilty. At church yesterday, I was able to reconnect with some very long-time friends whom I haven’t seen in quite a while. Immediately, they asked how things are and then jokingly shamed me for not updating them like I used to.

Several thoughts:

1. God has blessed us more than I could have ever thought possible. This “dreaded” journey of gaining our partnerships has actually been amazing! We have built some of the greatest new friendships and have met some of the sweetest people on earth.

2. In all the busyness and excitement of travel and making new friends, we failed to update our current friends. It was actually humbling and special to realize all the people that God has put in our life that truly care about us and are following our journey.

3. Back when we started this journey 1.5 years ago, I came across this chart. It was actually being used by a family that is going to Portugal as well. They shared how God has used social media to gain their support in record speed. I was so excited and thought this is the golden ticket. I’m gonna post this thing and just watch all the people just flock to send us to Portugal. Well… it didn’t quite work that way but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. God has used so many of our experiences to build into our lives and ultimately make us better vessels to be used for HIM! Since we weren’t using this chart to raise our partners like originally thought, I kinda abandoned it not realizing that people enjoyed seeing our progress and were praying for us.

So, as you see, we are at 90% Here’s a little bit of our timetable:

April 14:

We travel to Montana, Ohio, and Virginia for 2 weeks of meetings.

June:

We start a 6-week Survey Trip to Portugal. We will be making progress towards our Visa and exploring our housing options.

September:

2 weeks of meetings.

October:

2 weeks of meetings.

November:

Send off at FBC and we go to Portugal to begin our new life and ministry.

All this to say that God is SO good and he’s given us some precious friends.
