Happy fall, y’all!
Fall has been beautiful, with unusually warm weather. Even the Portuguese have been commenting on it! But as much as we love the weather here, we sure miss fall back in the States. The crisp air, changing leaves, and our annual youth group trips to Vala’s pumpkin patch are things we miss. Still, we love Portugal and are thankful God has placed us here to serve Him!
Lots of Guests!
We’ve been blessed with quite a few visitors lately, including our sons, some of Mary Ann’s family, and a group from one of our partnering churches. We love showing people our new world, sharing places we’ve come to love, and introducing them to the wonderful people God has brought into our lives.

Construction Is Finished… Finally!
Our church auditorium renovations are finally complete! In typical Portuguese fashion, the project took about twice as long as expected, but we made it work! The finished space is beautiful and has much-needed additional seating.
It was especially meaningful to celebrate the church’s 10th anniversary in the renovated auditorium. What a blessing to see all God has done through this church and to have a part in its ministry!

Married Couples Small Group
We’re excited to have our couples’ small group meeting again after a busy summer and church construction. It’s encouraging to see these couples wanting to strengthen their marriages and grow in God’s Word.
Continue to Pray!
So much of our ministry here is about building relationships. Recently, a young lady we’ve been getting to know invited us to her aunt’s 60th birthday celebration. Being welcomed into their home and included in a family gathering was a real encouragement and another opportunity to deepen friendships.
We’re also excited about our International English-Speaking Ministry! We plan to begin an English Bible study in January during our church’s Sunday School hour. Our prayer is that this will eventually grow into an international English-speaking church. With so many nationalities living in our area, we see a wonderful opportunity to reach people. Please pray for wisdom, the right people to help, and open doors for this ministry.
