November - December 2025 // Update
We hope everyone is off to a wonderful start to the new year! We wanted to take a moment to update you on what God has been doing in our lives during November and December.
As always, the Lord has been so good to us. November was especially meaningful because we were able to return to the United States for our son Shane’s wedding. This is our first son to be married, and God has blessed us with a wonderful new daughter-in-law. It was a joy to celebrate this special milestone with our family.
Before leaving Portugal, we had the privilege of speaking at the Portuguese church we have been partnering with over the past year. Mary Ann was able to greet the congregation in Portuguese and thank them for the impact they have had on our lives. I also shared my introduction in Portuguese before switching to a translator—which was much better for everyone involved! This church has become very dear to us, and we are thankful for the friendships we have built and the many ways we have been able to serve.
We have attached a few photos to help recap 2025. This past year marked the beginning of our new life as missionaries in Portugal—something completely different from anything we have done before. God has placed us in a wonderful community where we have been building relationships and allowing Him to influence our neighborhood through our lives. I’ve had the opportunity to lead Bible studies with young couples who desire to raise their families to follow the Lord. We have also served in the singles ministry and have been discipling several young people who have a genuine hunger to know Jesus more deeply.
As we enter 2026, we are excited about all that God will continue to do. The biggest prayer request on our hearts is the international church that the Lord has been leading us to begin. Lord willing, we hope to launch this ministry in February or March. There is so much to pray about. Starting ministry in Europe looks very different from what we have known in America, so we truly desire God’s wisdom and direction. Please pray that He would guide every step, draw people to Himself, and soften hearts toward the gospel.
Thank you, as always, for your love, encouragement, and partnership. Please let us know if there is any way we can pray for you.
