May - June 2025 Update
It was great having our son Shane and Michaela with us - They Got Engaged!!
New Ministries
May and June have been full months! It’s amazing how fast time flies—we’ve already been in Portugal for eight months.
God has done so much during that time.
May was especially exciting as we started a Bible study here at Igreja Baptista do Montijo. The church is full of young families who are eager to learn what the Bible says about family life. Many of them also want to improve their English, which gives us additional opportunities to minister while we continue learning Portuguese ourselves. We’ve already held three Bible studies and plan to continue in September, with a special focus on marriage.

We also had the opportunity to take some young people to a camp open house here in Portugal. It’s been a blessing to serve alongside the church and to build meaningful relationships.

Connecting
These past two months have also allowed us to connect with several local missionaries and national Portuguese pastors. Their wisdom has been a blessing to us, and we hope we’ve been an encouragement to them as well. It’s inspiring to hear their stories and see how God is at work all over the world.
New Friends
The picture below is very special to us. God has brought some precious people into our lives here in Algés. They surprised me by making a big deal out of my birthday! I was hoping to skip it, but they had other plans—haha. They even sang to me in both English and the Portuguese version of “Happy Birthday.”
