A Great Trip
At the beginning of August we went on our first long term trip to Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. We were in 10 different churches including a Missions’ Conference during this time. It was very encouraging to be able to meet so many good people in great churches. It was also a blessing to meet some of the sweetest missionaries as we were able to fellowship with them and learn from them. One quick story: We were able to meet a second generation missionary that grew up in Brazil and is going back to Brazil to continue his father’s ministry. His wife is a Brazilian that was actually reached through the ministry and her life dream was to be able to be a missionary herself. You could really see the joy in her life as she prepares to serve God in Brazil.

A Great God
His Leading — I could tell so many stories on this point, but one particular incident is how He turned a canceled meeting into a Divine Appointment. We were actually able to pick up a potential supporting church and two missions conferences from something I was pretty bummed about. I’ve heard that one of the hardest parts of deputation is scheduling meetings, and yes there are some frustrations and God has worked on my patience, haha, but honestly He has been so good to us and really opened some great doors with a full schedule through the end of the year.
His Seal — If you have ever had a time in your life where you really stepped out by faith, you know how encouraging it is when God shows His hand and you don’t ever doubt that you are confidently following His leading. So many times we have seen his seal of approval on our journey.
His Blessings — There have been little tokens and big ones too and these all seem to come at the right time when we just need to hear from God.
It’s always more fun when our children share in the journey.
What’s Next?
6 Weeks on the road - We just finished up a missions conference in Iowa. Right now we are headed to California for another conference and that story goes on for the next 6 weeks. As a matter of fact, we will only be home for 1 day during that time. My wife has said more than once, “We are going to the exact churches that God wants us to go to,” and wow, that is such the truth. We are excited to see what God will do as we meet with these churches. Pray for us during this time that God will use us to be a blessing and encouragement to these churches.
